A Look at Hope Valley and the Peak District
Located conveniently between Sheffield and Manchester, the Peak District is an ideal escape from the fast pace of city living. If you hail from Sheffield or Manchester, it’s reachable in about an hour going by car or train and a wonderful selection for a weekend break. If you’re travelling from further afield, we recommend you can stay in the Peak District for 4 or 5 days as there’s lots to discover and do in the Peak District.
Many travellers connect the Peak area with the summertime, yet it’s idyllic all year round, and nowhere are the four seasons more emphasised than in the Peak District.
As remarked earlier, there is lots of activities in the Peak area. The scenic hillsides compel holiday makers out of their hotels and into their walking boots, and there’s a lot of trails to tramp – up to 30 well marked routes.
To add to that, there’s also a great deal of locations to go fishing in and around the Peak District, particularly the Ladybower area. If you’re not disposed to such physical hobbies, drive your car and check out Chatsworth House. Three of four hours at the house is advised, the gardens in itself it’s possible to spend an hour or two in! Or go to Buxton for something to eat in one of their many pubs, and a walk in the pavilion gardens, or the opera. Not to forget the villages in the Hope Valley which are glorious .

That way you have the privacy of your own place, and the chance to unwind and relax with your friends and family in an affable environment. Type in a search keyphrase like “weekend breaks in the Peak District” and one is certain to discover a good deal of possible choices.
